The Long Road Back: Overcoming a Devastating Weather Event
 
In the past three years, Rumson Country Club in Rumson, NJ faced the two most destructive incidents in its 105-year existence. In 2010, Hurricane Irene came through the Jersey seashore region and dumped eight inches of rain in 36 hours, knocking out power and leaving water on the course for 10 days. In 2012, Hurricane Sandy hit during the high tide, pushing several feet of salt water across the bayfront layout and downing 150 mature trees.
